I’m a street photographer and my main goal is to travel around the world capturing images of different peoples and cultures, particularly in my home state of Bahia / Brazil, a land which possesses such a rich scenario both in relation to both the day-to-day life of our people and popular, religious and civic events, as well as our nature itself.
I see all that I look at I feel all that I see; all that I feel 1 record — be it with the soul or with the camera. Photography is my passion.
“To witness the calibre which permeates the works of a photographer like Sinisia Coni is so fortunate. Her look represents the dynamic flow of human expressions, taking into account it is almost impossible to be unaffected by what is witnessed first-hand. Even when involving a mere contemplation, there is so much more supporting such a gesture. Sinisia’s art addresses urban environments like someone daring to sail the seas of impersonality. The result of this passage is conveyed in gestures which sound familiar to us to the extent we conclude that whatever the geographic landmark, people are made of the same essence. The photographer from Bahia confesses that she puts her entire soul into the search for her images. As such, it is clear she is not inclined to conducting frivolous searches for places and people. She doesn’t take pictures for the sake of it, some kind of accidental photograph, but creates a purposeful involvement with what appears in front of her eyes. We perceive this when colours, shapes, shadows and faces emanate their own multiple languages in the most natural ritual possible. With no artificial ingredients or premeditated arrangements, Sinisia Coni is a genuine witness to the world, its raptures and its people.” By Fabricio Brandao (Publisher of the magazine “Diversos Afins”)
